When I think of fragrance brands synonymous with the Big Apple, a few names spring to mind: Bond NYC, Glossier, and finally, Le Labo. France-born and NYC-raised, Le Labo is a brand I had heard about repeatedly from fragrance obsessives like me, but never actually tried myself. But recently, I got my hands on the brand’s holy grail and the fragrance that’s apparently scenting all five city boroughs—Santal 33 (was $214, now $180). Regarded as the ultimate woody fragrance every NYC cool girl has sitting on their vanities, I spritzed and sprayed the eau de parfum for almost two weeks to see if the viral fragrance matched its hype—just in time to get you all the details while you can save more than $30 on it through August 3 thanks to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
