When the first season of Tim Burton’s Wednesday hit Netflix, it quickly smashed records and ushered in a wave of goth glamour—with a Puritan twist. Indeed, the central plot features a demonic pilgrim as its primary antagonist, and so, with the second season dropping August 6, I’m predicting that puritan collars will be everywhere this fall.

The internet’s favorite misanthrope isn’t the only place from which I’m drawing my inspiration. Brands like Damson Madder and Scandi-It-girl brand Ganni have been serving the puritan collar for the last few years, making them, if anything, early predictors.
