While I’ve been so focused on Meghan Markle’s Colombia tour fashion looks and pics that showcase the steamy PDA moments she shared with her husband, Prince Harry, 39, I almost missed the sweet update the proud mother of two, 43, gave about her 3-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet. 

On the final day of their Colombia tour, the Duchess of Sussex participated in an “Afro Woman and Power” panel. And according to People, Markle discussed how she’s teaching her daughter to speak up for herself, which is something she thanks her own mom, Doria Ragland, for showing her how to do it at such a young age. 

“I find inspiration in so many of the strong women that are around me, of course, my mother being one of them,” Markle said while she was on stage. “So much of how I approach things is through the lens of less about the fight—that’s not interesting to me—and more about how do we show up in a space and wash things over with love and kindness and generosity.”
