Nothing tests a new marriage quite like a weeklong vacation together. Fortunately, not only did my husband and I survive our latest trip, we thrived—and then some!

The two of us had the good fortune to sail to paradise (otherwise known as Bermuda) aboard Norwegian Cruise Line's gorgeous Getaway ship. The seven-night Getaway sailing departed from New York City (yes, we sailed down the Hudson River past the Statue of Liberty), took us to beautiful Bermuda for three days and then returned us safely (though quite a bit tanner) to the City That Never Sleeps.

And while I've been on my fair share of cruise ships, let me tell you: the Norwegian Getaway has a lot to offer. Here, my honest review.
